Hye Won Souh, Piano
Acclaimed pianist Hye Won Souh’s 2020-2021 season highlights include performing at the prestigious “Sundays Live at LACMA,” (Los Angeles County Museum of Art, broadcasting live by classical radio KUSC FM 91.5), the honorable “Gray Stone Mansion series in Beverly Hills, streaming by Beverly Hills TV,” the “Music by the Sea Recital,” sponsored by the city of Encinitas, and the “Interlude Concert series,” in Torrance, CA.
Since 2017, Souh has been serving as an artistic director and the main pianist of one of the most trending concert series in Silicon Valley, ‘Piano Talk,’ sponsored by Steinway and Sons, LG Signature as well as The Korea Times.
A Certified Educational and Performance Partner of Steinway and Sons, Ms.Souh, received a B.M. from the New England Conservatory of Music with high honors and a M.M. from Seoul National University in piano performance summa cum laude.
Sarah Hong, Cello
Cellist, Sarah Hong was born in Seoul Korea. She began studying cello at the age of six and was selected as the most promising young cellist in the nation at the age of 16, her performance broadcast nationwide by KBS. She made her New York debut at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall as a winner of Artists International. She studied at the Juilliard School with Zara Nelsova and Joel Krosnick while receiving both of the BM and MM degrees, and the chamber music artist program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music under the direction of Bonnie Hampton. Ms. Hong is a formal member of the New Century Chamber Orchestra, Broderick String Quartet, and associate faculty at the Zephyr International Summer Music Festival. Currently, she is a cellist of Le Due Muse with Makiko Ooka, San Francisco Cello Quartet, and Ensemble Ari. She teaches special needs children cello at AMASE and youth orchestras in the Bay Area. She also started the 'Phos (φῶς)' Benefit Concert Series to raise money to help support various non-profit organizations serving children in the US and underdeveloping countries. www.cellistsarahhong.com
Sang-Eun Lee, Soprano
Soprano Sang-Eun Lee is the choir director of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in San Jose and a professional voice coach in the Bay Area. As an opera singer, Ms. Lee had appeared on the Cosi Fan Tutte, Choon-Yang-Jeon, Don Pasquale, Don Giovanni, and many others. As a musical singer, she has performed in The Last Empress as ‘the Last Empress’ (2003-2012), ’Seol Hee’ in Musical Hero (2010-2012) as well as ‘the Actress’ in the musical Ra Ronda. She has also been awarded many prizes from various voice competitions including, The Loren Zachary Society Internal Voice Competition, San Diego Choral Club Competition, Virginia Hawk Voice Competition, NAT International Competitions.
Ms. Lee is a former Musical Theater professor at Dankook University. She is holding a Bachelor of Music from Hanyang University and a Master of Music from Dankook University.
Hayley Jang, Voice
Hayley Jang is from Cupertino, California, where she was initially trained as a classical pianist. As a young pianist, Hayley competed in many piano competitions of varying levels of difficulty. In addition to playing the piano, Hayley considers herself a strong vocalist. She was the praise team leader at her church for over 5 years where she also picked up the guitar. Over the past five years, Hayley worked at multiple school as a private and group music teacher for people of all ages, teaching a combination of piano, voice, and guitar. Recently, Hayley graduated from Berklee College of Music with Bachelors degree in Music Therapy and a minor is Psychology. She currently resides in Santa Monica and works at UCLA Mattel Children’s Hospital as a music therapy intern.
